Analisis Peran Sistem Informasi dalam Meningkatkan Efektivitas Proses Bisnis Organisasi
Abstract
The rapid development of information technology has encouraged organizations to utilize information systems as a strategic tool to improve performance and competitiveness. One important aspect influenced by the implementation of information systems is the effectiveness of business processes. This study aims to analyze the role of information systems in improving the effectiveness of organizational business processes. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that information systems play a significant role in accelerating work processes, improving data accuracy and information quality, strengthening coordination among organizational units, and supporting managerial decision-making. Furthermore, the implementation of information systems reduces dependence on manual procedures and minimizes operational errors. However, this study also reveals several challenges in optimizing the benefits of information systems, including limited user competence, resistance to change, and inadequate technological infrastructure. Therefore, the success of information systems in enhancing business process effectiveness depends not only on technological sophistication but also on human resource readiness and strong managerial support. This study is expected to provide useful insights for organizations in designing and developing information systems that are aligned with business process requirements.
